About Joel
Postgraduate Researcher, PhD. Mechanical Engineer with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement, building a career in project management. Substantial exposure to industrial systems and manufacturing engineering, including research and development of biomedical applications of additive manufacturing processes. I have also been a Teaching Assistant at the University of Manchester for 4 years.
Since I was in high school, I have always enjoyed mentoring and advising others and helping them in taking a step forward towards their goals. After completion of my PhD, I committed to dedicate my spare time to tutoring to stay aligned to my dream of helping others through quality education.

My approach start with a baseline assessment, to verify the student's knowledge on their required syllabus. Then, the tutorials are tailored to fill in the gaps the student may have in their foundation concepts. Sessions will progress at the pace that suits the student best, and the way they are taught is also adapted to the pupil's learning style. I tend to use lots of examples, and my priority is for them to understand how things work and how their developing knowledge can be implemented. In this way, they not only learn for an exam, but hopefully for their entire professional career.
