Crystal was my tutor for AHIS2301 at Macquarie University, and she made such a big impact on my learning. She has a really engaging and supportive teaching style, and she always encouraged us to think critically about the archaeological evidence we were working with. I remember her taking extra time to give detailed feedback on one of my assignments, which really helped me improve my writing and analysis. She made a complex topic like mortuary archaeology accessible and fascinating. I felt like I could always ask questions without judgment, and I genuinely enjoyed coming to tutorials because of her. If you're looking for a tutor who knows their stuff and truly cares about helping students grow, Crystal is the one.
I had the privilege of learning from Crystal during the Rivulus Dominarum Bioarchaeology Field School in Romania. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable about skeletal anatomy, archaeological methods, and anthropological theory. She is also an extremely approachable and supportive mentor. Crystal took the time to explain complex concepts clearly, always connecting theory with practice. One afternoon, she stayed back after hours to help a group of us understand trauma patterns on human remains, using real case studies from the site. Her passion for bioarchaeology and her ability to foster a collaborative and respectful learning environment made the experience unforgettable. I would absolutely recommend her as a tutor—she brings both deep expertise and genuine care for her students.
