About Richard
My professional career:
• I started out as an EAP sessional lecturer and teaching associate in the UK, then progressing to teach management at a Chinese Business School.
• I am a former Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching.
• I am experienced at academic leadership within a business school and I have senior Management experience.
• I have experience coaching and mentoring academic teaching staff.
• I have chaired several committees, served as Programme Director, Module Convenor, and Management Lecturer.
My qualifications:
• BSc (hons) Psychology. University of Manchester, UK. June, 1998.
• Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). St. Giles College, UK, 2003
• Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCert), Distinction. Aston, UK. 2013.
• Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). PR133703 (2017).
• Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Distinction. BCU, UK. Sept, 2012.

Currently, I’m interested in the Psychological Contract in International Joint Venture Organisations – and qualitative case study ethnographies of international organisations.

Writing academic texts is a specialist skill; you need more help than your English teacher can give you. I coach postgraduate students to write these longer academic texts. I have an extensive academic background as a lecturer and EAP tutor, also first-hand experience of writing a doctorate with both a full-time job and family commitments. I have supervised UG and PG students to complete their theses.

• coach you – beyond the sentence level,
• focus on the ACADEMIC GENRE and ACADEMIC LITERACY/ LITERACIES,
• support you to write essays, reports, theses and academic papers,

cancellations must be within 24 hours before the start of the session.
