About Lucy
I remember when I got my first good grade in Math, and it changed the whole trajectory of my life. I have previously experienced that 'math block' that many of us do, and just didn't think that I could do it. I got my first good grade in a class test, and something in my brain clicked. I realized that I could do it - and turns out I could. I then went on to study Math at a high level, tutoring younger students the whole way and developing the ability to teach Math. The best teachers that I had were the teachers that learned alongside you. The ones that didn't explain stuff to you as though you should already know, but that met you where you were and figured it out with you. That created life-long confidence, understanding and enjoyment for learning.

Length of sessions can be negotiated between us to make sure that you can remain engaged and enthusiastic. My experience consists of high achieving grades in Math throughout my educational career, as well as higher qualifications in Children's Therapies. The unique blend of a passion and skill for Math, alongside experience and qualifications in child therapy means that I am perfect for young children who are particularly anxious or dysregulated when it comes to Math.
