About Alyssa
As a Physics tutor with a BSc in Physics with Philosophy and eight years of experience, I enjoy sparking curiosity in young learners. I specialize in introducing middle school students to forces and motion. My approach uses simple experiments, such as dropping objects or testing ramps, to make lessons interactive. I also bring physics into everyday life with examples from sports, rides, and daily routines. This makes the subject both relevant and exciting. I know that physics often feels tough at first, but I break concepts into small, clear steps. With patience and encouragement, students gain confidence. I use problem-solving scenarios to help them practice applying knowledge. Curiosity is celebrated in every lesson, and questions are always welcomed. Over time, learners develop both skills and enthusiasm. I believe that physics should feel like a journey of discovery. My goal is to make it enjoyable, practical, and easy for middle school students. Together, we can explore science in a fun and relatable way.

Physics is more than formulas—it’s the foundation of engineering design. My approach to teaching is relaxed and practical, always focused on application. I use materials science examples to explain concepts like stress, strain, and material choice. Fluid dynamics is introduced through rivers, turbines, and sports technology. Statics and dynamics are taught with real-life examples of bridges, machines, and vehicles. These cases show how theory turns into design solutions. My sessions encourage open discussion and curiosity. I help students explore multiple solutions, not just one. Mistakes are part of the process, and we learn from them together. For those aiming to teach or move into computational physics, I add deeper insights into analysis and modeling. My goal is to build confidence as well as knowledge. Over time, learners see physics as a practical tool, not just a subject. Let’s make physics relevant to your engineering career.
