About Andrew
I studied Mathematics, History, Government and Politics, and Physics at A-level, receiving three A grades and one A* respectively. I later achieved an upper-second class Bachelor's in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of East Anglia, followed by a Distinction, first-class Finance/Accounting Master's from Norwich Business School. I have tutored previously up to an undergraduate level, and have many years of experience as a Scout leader which aids me in helping young people maximise their potential. In addition, I recently returned to England after working in Germany for PwC's Global Risk Consulting department in Cologne performing audit and actuarial procedures.

Throughout my postgraduate and undergraduate degrees I have written dozens of academic pieces of varying purpose and length and, in my opinion, writing to persuade is the most important skill of all essay-based subjects. Developing an elegant and effective style is the key to success, and even surpasses an understanding of specific subject material. Anyone can ask questions with an LLM or search engine, but constructing well-reasoned and evidenced arguments is a skill which requires careful nurture. My lessons are for students studying at A-level and below, and aim to both teach subject content and also to improve the student's ability to produce flexible and consistent essays under all conditions. Available to teach online lessons.

Andrew is a great tutor. He has taken the time to explain concepts very patiently and has used many different approaches to further understanding. It’s obvious that he enjoys knowledge and always has a fun fact or two, which really enhances the learning experience. I’d book him again any time.
