Hi, I'm Dave Creek. Let me be honest: there's a mountain of confusing, jargon-filled advice about singing out there, and it leaves a lot of people feeling like their voice is some great mystery. I don't buy that. I'd rather strip it back to what actually works and just get you singing, and that plain, practical approach is what I love most about teaching.

I've been singing for years, and what keeps me at it is watching regular people surprise themselves — folks who were sure they "couldn't sing" or had no time, hearing their own voice get noticeably better far sooner than they thought, simply because we focused on the things that matter.

Here's what I believe: you don't need years of confusing lessons or a head full of technical terms to sing well. With a focused, practical approach, you can get real results in the time you actually have. So I keep things simple and down-to-earth — no mystique, no ego, no wasted effort. Whether you're short on time, convinced you're tone-deaf, or just tired of advice that goes nowhere, I'll give it to you straight and keep it useful.

About the lesson

Let's start with the practical stuff: what do you want to be able to sing, and how much time do you honestly have to work on it? I'd rather build you something that fits your real life than hand you a plan you won't keep up. Whatever your answer, there's no wrong one — I just want us aiming at something you actually care about.

From there I keep it focused. There's no shortage of confusing vocal advice out there, but the truth is only a few things really matter when you're building a voice — steady breathing, easing off the tension, and using your voice in a way that's comfortable and reliable. So that's where we'll spend our time, applied to real songs you want to sing, without the fluff and the fancy talk that just leave people more confused than when they started.

I'll always be straight with you. If something needs work, I'll tell you plainly and give you one clear thing to focus on, not a jumble that overwhelms you. And because your practice time is limited, I'll make sure you know exactly what to do with it, so even a few minutes actually pays off.

The bottom line is simple: I want you getting real results without wasting your time. You'll notice your voice becoming steadier and stronger sooner than you'd expect, at a pace that fits your life.
