About Dave
Hi, I'm Dave Creek. I'll level with you: a lot of piano teaching gets lost in theory and drills, and people spend months wondering when they'll actually play something they enjoy. That's never sat right with me. I'd rather cut the nonsense and get you playing real music, and that practical, down-to-earth approach is what I love most about teaching.
I've been playing for years, and what keeps me going is watching ordinary, busy people surprise themselves — folks who were sure they had no time or weren't "the musical type," playing real songs far sooner than they expected, just because we focused on what actually matters.
Here's what I believe: you don't need years of dry exercises or a pile of jargon to enjoy the piano. With a focused, practical approach, you can get real results in the time you actually have. So I keep things simple and honest — no ego, no fuss, no wasted effort. Whether you're short on time, sure you're not musical, or just fed up with overcomplicated lessons, I'll give it to you straight and keep it useful.
Whatever's brought you to the keys — a few songs you'd love to play, a busy life you're fitting this around, or just a practical urge to finally give it a real shot — let's keep it simple and get you playing. I'd be glad to help.

Let's start with the practical stuff: what do you want to be able to play, and how much time do you realistically have? I'd rather build you something that fits your actual life than hand you a plan you'll quietly abandon. Whatever your answer, there's no wrong one — I just want us aiming at something you genuinely care about.
From there I keep it focused. There's plenty you could study on the piano, but only some of it matters when you're getting going, so we'll spend our time on what gets you playing real music — coordinating your two hands, reading enough to get by, a comfortable touch, and understanding the useful patterns behind songs. No endless dry exercises, no busywork, no filler. Just the stuff that actually moves you forward, applied to music you like.
I'll always be straight with you. If something needs work, I'll say so plainly and give you one clear thing to focus on, rather than a long list that leaves you swamped. And since I know your practice time is limited, I'll show you how to use it well, so even a short sit at the keys genuinely counts.
The bottom line is simple: I want you getting real results without wasting your time. You'll be playing actual songs sooner than you'd expect, at a pace that fits your life instead of fighting it. Wherever you're starting from, if you want a practical, no-fuss way into the piano, I'll help you get there.

I've seen Felix put in the work. Nerves eased as skills got more reliable. Happy to recommend Dave.
I'll keep this short: Elliot got better for real reasons. Small wins stacked into noticeable change. Strong recommendation for Dave.
A quick check-in message before my shift ended saved an entire study session from falling apart.
Between night shifts and back-to-back classes I nearly cancelled for good, but sticking with Dave turned my worst subject into my best grade.
Stole an hour from a brutal week just for me, and when the first method stalled, Dave pivoted without missing a beat.
My mom signed me up against my will, but now I can actually debug my own code instead of staring at it helplessly.
Each session felt like barely any movement, but comparing my first quiz to my last, Dave basically rebuilt my whole understanding.
Somewhere around lesson three, verb conjugations stopped being a foreign concept and I finally caught myself explaining them back to Dave first.
