About Niní
Hi! I’m Niní, a classically trained actor, director and writer with a degree in Theatre and Film from Northwestern University, where I earned Dean’s List honors and directed several student productions. I now work in Chicago and Mexico City as a professional director, playwright and dramaturg. My work seeks to re-indigenize artistic spaces and practices while making space for authentic, nuanced and truthful forms of representation. In my coaching practices, I am excited about helping actors find their most authentic voice and bring out the truth in every character they portray. As a director of new work, I have developed plays and musicals for Telling Humans Playwriting Studio, Chicago Dramatists, Token Theatre, Pop!Up Productions, Subtext Studio Theatre Company and most recently, had a production at the historic Goodman Theatre. I am very proud to have brought out stellar performances from both new and veteran actors. Whether you want to prepare for auditions, select the perfect monologue, or sharpen your performance skills, my coaching is supportive, practical, and tailored to your needs. I combine classical training with hands-on directing experience to help you bring depth, confidence, and intention to every performance. Let's create magic together!

Hello, hello! I’m Niní, a Northwestern University graduate where I studied theater and film, with concentrations in directing, writing and acting both for the stage and the screen. In addition to directing multiple theater productions, I also earned Dean's List honors. Professionally, I’ve directed new work throughout Chicago, including at the historic Goodman Theatre, and worked as a literary editor and new work developer with professional and MFA playwrights. My experience combines deep storytelling expertise with hands-on theatrical direction. Whether you’re preparing for auditions, selecting the perfect monologue, or refining your performance skills, I offer personalized coaching that’s practical, creative, and tailored to your goals. Together, we’ll work on: * Selecting and developing powerful monologues that showcase your strengths. * Tableworking material to find the right beats, actions and instincts. * Audition preparation with confidence and precision. * Character work and performance technique. * Cold reading and self-tape mastery. * Stage presence and confidence-building. I am very excited about worldbuilding and finding characters that let your strengths shine through.
