About Shaun
I’m a graduate of the Civil Engineering program at McGill University. During my program at McGill, I completed courses in differential calculus, integral calculus, calculus of multiple variables, linear algebra, and ordinary and partial differential equations. These are university-level math courses, but their principles are founded on fundamental areas of study in math: good old arithmetic, algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
I will help you to develop a solid understanding of mathematic fundamentals.
I have both excelled in my coursework, and struggled too, at times. The difference between struggling and excelling is simply understanding the concepts, and then developing the confidence that comes with practice. I will help you to understand the concepts and then support you as you develop the confidence to solve any problem.

What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever learned to do? When you first begin learning something new, it seems almost like magic … somehow it works but you can’t quite explain how or why.
Learning math can feel like that. Just a jumble of numbers, letters and symbols … and somehow, you have to find the right answer. But there is no magic in math, just logic. Math is a system, it is a language. And once you have already learned one language, you can use that same approach to learn any language.
In my lessons, I will help you to learn the language of math: arithmetic, algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
