My Methodology & Uniqueness
As a practicing lawyer, my teaching methodology moves beyond rote memorization. I utilize a "Case-to-Classroom" approach, where we bridge the gap between abstract legal theory and real-world application. What makes me unique is my ability to explain complex principles—like Nemo Dat or Substantive Fairness—through the lens of actual courtroom experience and CCMA arbitrations. I don't just teach you what the law is; I teach you how the law works in practice, which is the key to unlocking higher marks in problem-based exam questions.
What to Expect from a Typical Lesson
Every session is structured to be high-impact and results-oriented. A typical 60-minute lesson includes:
The Concept Breakdown: A clear, jargon-free explanation of the core legal principle.
The Practitioner’s Insight: A real-world example or case study to provide context.
The IRAC Drill: We spend the final 20 minutes applying the principle to a past exam question using the Issue, Rule, Application, and Conclusion (IRAC) method.
The Strategy Session: Quick tips on how to manage time and structure your answer to satisfy the examiner’s rubric.
Target Audience
My lessons are specifically designed for:
LLB Students: From first-year foundational modules to final-year specialized electives.
UNISA Students: Who require structured, external support for distance learning.
HR & BCom Law Students: Who need to master Labor Law and Commercial Law modules.
Repeat Candidates: Students who have struggled with a module and need a fresh, practical perspective to finally secure a pass.
Languages of Instruction
I am fully proficient and able to conduct lessons in English, ensuring that all legal terminology and academic requirements are communicated with precision and clarity.
Why Choose My Lessons?
By learning from a legal professional, you aren't just preparing for an exam; you are preparing for the profession. You will gain the confidence to analyze legal problems like a lawyer, a skill that will serve you long after you’ve received your degree. My sessions are held exclusively after hours and on weekends to accommodate the schedules of dedicated, hard-working students.
