About Emily
I am a third-year Human Physiology major with a minor in Chemistry and a strong interest in the sciences and healthcare. As a pre-med student, I have developed a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, and human physiology and understand the importance of learning concepts thoroughly rather than relying only on memorization. I am patient, dependable, and committed to creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and working through challenging material. I take pride in being prepared for each lesson and adapting my explanations to fit each student’s individual learning style and needs.

My approach to tutoring is centered around making difficult science concepts feel simple, understandable, and less overwhelming. As a Human Physiology major with a Chemistry minor and a pre-med student, I have experience learning complex material and finding ways to break it down into smaller steps, connect concepts together, and explain them in different ways until they make sense. A typical lesson would begin by identifying what the student is struggling with, reviewing the key concepts, working through examples together, and then having the student practice independently while I provide guidance and feedback. I am especially interested in tutoring biology, chemistry, and other introductory science courses for middle school, high school, and college students, and what sets me apart is my patience, willingness to explain things from different perspectives, and focus on helping students truly understand the material rather than simply memorize it.
