About Celia
Clarity defines my method because I prioritize the underlying mechanism of every single molecular interaction. Stanford School of Medicine gave me the foundation to analyze amines and carbonyl chemistry through the lens of pure physical chemistry. My approach involves deconstructing functional groups, stereochemistry, and complex IUPAC nomenclature so you see the electrons moving rather than just memorizing paths.
I guide students through the intricacies of curved-arrow notation, IR and mass spectrometry, and the logical steps of isomerism. Drawing mechanisms and mastering retrosynthesis becomes intuitive when you grasp the fundamental logic. These 3 years of tutoring have shown me that students grasp the hardest concepts once they stop viewing chemistry as a collection of disjointed rules.
