I hold a Bachelor's degree with credits in college algebra, precalculus, differential and integral calculus, differential equation, biology and chemistry.

About the lesson

I would teach factoring by going over the book examples. Then using the socratic method I would have the students try several problems on their own with my guidance. Once I was sure my students understand the concepts I would assign the odd numbered problems to be done in class in small groups. Then I would give them their homework assignment.
