About Sophia
I graduated from NYU with a Bachelor's in Biology and a Minor in Psychology and have also completed a Master's of Health Science focusing on the Biomedical Sciences at Quinnipiac University. As a premedical student, I can fully relate to the struggles of understanding a topic and have learned strategies that have helped myself and others succeed. I also understand how each of us may need different strategies for learning, and my goal will be to make sure your individual needs are always met.

- We'll be working together to focus on your priorities and design a lesson plan that works best for your needs
- Lesson plans can include going over definitions, biological functions, specific cellular pathways, and more; doing practice problems and questions together; and creating unique ways to retain the information being taught (e.g. phrases, images, mnemonics, etc.)
- One of the most important aspects to understanding biology is to make it relatable to each individual. Because of that, I'll do my best to explain concepts in a way that works best for your comprehension and retention. My priority is to make sure you're comfortable with the pace and focus of our sessions, and I'll always be open to feedback on how we can best help your learning
