About Edwars
I am a dedicated saxophone tutor with more than 12 years of experience teaching college students. I believe music education should be structured, motivating, and enjoyable. My teaching approach focuses on strong fundamentals while encouraging creative expression.
Lessons include tone building, breathing exercises, finger technique, rhythm accuracy, and expressive performance. I also guide students through improvisation to help them gain confidence and musical independence. Real-life examples are used to make lessons easy to understand and engaging.
I use modern learning methods such as recording feedback, interactive play-along sessions, and goal-based practice routines. Along with saxophone skills, I teach music theory, ear training, and sight-reading to support complete musical growth.
I maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel motivated to improve. My goal is to help students become confident and expressive saxophone players.

My teaching approach for Saxophone is focused on clear learning, creativity, and steady progress. I believe students learn best when they understand what they are doing and why they are doing it. I start by building strong basics such as posture, breathing technique, embouchure control, finger movement, tone quality, articulation, and rhythm accuracy. Each topic is taught step by step using simple explanations and practical exercises.
Creativity is encouraged throughout the learning process. I allow students to explore sound, learn songs they enjoy, and try basic improvisation. This helps them develop musical expression and confidence. As a mentor, I guide students patiently, helping them stay motivated and overcome challenges. I believe encouragement and guidance are essential for long-term growth.
Critical thinking is developed by teaching students how to listen carefully, understand mistakes, and apply correct techniques to improve. Accountability is maintained through structured practice routines, clear weekly goals, and regular feedback. Along with Saxophone, I also teach Music Theory, Rhythm Training, Ear Training, and Scale Practice to support complete musical development.
