About Mrinal

Hi, I'm Mrinal. I'll be starting Computer Science at Oxford in October 2026, and I scored 9.0/9.0 in the TMUA last year.

I completed my schooling through the Kendriya Vidyalaya system and graduated from the Embassy of India School in Moscow. When I first started looking into Oxford and other top universities, it often felt like most successful applicants came from very different backgrounds. Going through the process myself showed me that students from schools like mine can absolutely compete at the highest level with the right preparation and guidance.

I remember how confusing the TMUA and university application process felt when I first started preparing. Most advice online was either too generic or came from people who had taken the exams many years ago. That's part of why I decided to teach.

Since I've been through the process recently, I can share what worked for me, what didn't, and how I approached both the TMUA and Oxbridge admissions. Whether you're aiming for Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, Warwick, or another university that uses the TMUA, I'm happy to help you navigate the process and avoid some of the mistakes I made along the way.

About the lesson

I took the TMUA myself recently and scored 9.0/9.0, so I understand exactly what the preparation process is like. My lessons focus on developing the mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills needed for the exam rather than simply memorizing techniques.

We begin by identifying strengths and weaknesses before working through targeted practice questions and past-paper problems. Along the way, I explain common mistakes, exam strategies, and efficient ways to approach challenging questions under timed conditions.

Lessons are tailored to each student's level and goals, whether they are just starting TMUA preparation or aiming for the highest scores. I am also happy to discuss Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, Warwick, and other TMUA-using university applications based on my own recent experience.
