About Julius
"Music became my life during my doctoral studies at the University of Michigan School of Music. Admitting my own initial struggles with INTONATION helps me connect with the 4 year olds and high schoolers I coach today. Over 10 years of teaching, I have balanced my home studio in Boston with performing in the Seattle Symphony.
I focus on technical mastery including SHIFTING positions, spiccato, staccato bowing, vibrato, sight reading, and orchestral playing. Tone production remains my favorite challenge to teach. I simply love the sound of a well tuned violin."
