About Josie
Technical growth requires constant feedback. I teach because I want to bridge the gap between academic theory and the industry reality I face daily as a data professional. After 13 years in the field, I have seen exactly what hiring managers want from candidates.
My MS in Computer Science from the University of Washington provides the framework for my lessons on algorithms, JavaScript, and C++. Working with students on web development, SQL, and CSS projects is how I keep my own skills sharp. Coding is a craft I continue to refine through my work on complex database systems.

My methodology relies on the rigorous standards found in my MS Computer Science curriculum. We build projects instead of studying toy examples.
