About Adelaide
I am a passionate violin tutor with 15 years of teaching experience, working with high school students, college learners, and adults, and I have successfully taught around 300 students across different skill levels. My teaching philosophy is based on patience, clarity, and steady progress, as I believe every student can learn effectively with the right guidance.
I focus on building strong fundamentals such as posture, bow control, finger placement, and tone quality, which are essential for long-term improvement. I make sure to explain each concept in a simple and clear way so students can understand and practice confidently. I also include exercises, scales, and songs that make learning interesting and enjoyable.
One of my key achievements is helping students grow from beginners to confident performers. I aim to create a positive and motivating learning environment where students feel comfortable and inspired to continue learning.

I teach violin with a student-centered approach that prioritizes communication, flexibility, and hands-on learning. Every student has a unique learning style, so I adapt my lessons to suit visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners.
My lessons cover posture, bowing, fingering, intonation, tone quality, phrasing, and expressive skills, while also fostering creativity and musical interpretation. Real-life examples such as learning songs they enjoy, performing in small recitals, and understanding how music conveys emotion help students apply their learning in practical ways.
I also teach related subjects like music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic piano skills to provide a well-rounded musical foundation. My goal is to make lessons engaging, structured, and confidence-building.
