About Alia
I've been a tutor and teacher for almost 4 years now. In the past, I taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 7th grade art for Advanced Academy of Learning. When leaving that position, I had developed many great relationships with my past students and their families, offering them private tutoring that fit their schedules. I tutored 8 different students throughout the week, all different ages and lessons. I've even helped a few of my students start their own small businesses, selling their art.
As a young adult, I believe I relate to both the younger and older generation. No matter the age, my students and I always had similar interests and that is what really connected us. As an independent artist and game designer, I've helped children realize that they can turn their hobbies and interests into occupations they actually enjoy!

I am not your typical art teacher! I recognize all forms of art, whether it be pixel art or abstract. I adore video games and am a working game developer. I'm patient, easy to get along with, and love helping individuals reach their best potential.
As a teacher, I like to develop a curriculum based on what the student wants to learn. I want to get to know each and every student, aiding them in improving their artistic weaknesses. In our first lessons together, I will start by observing your abilities and figuring out what needs growth. Once I understand your artistic behaviors, we will do daily practices and study techniques that will form you into the artist you want to be.
These lessons are for everyone, no matter what age! Whether you are a beginner, dipping your toes into something new or have been doing art for years, wanting to expand your knowledge.
