About Emma

I am currently in the second year of my masters in primary teaching in Mary Immaculate college. I graduated from my undergraduate degree from Mary Immaculate college in 2023 with a BA in Gaeilge and Psychology. I have extensive experience working in both English speaking schools and Gaelscoileanna. I also have experience in a SET role teaching students with additional learning needs. Teaching has always been my dream profession, I get a real sense of joy seeing my students achieve their goals and gaining confidence in their learning.

About the lesson

I have always had a love for teaching maths and making it applicable to the everyday world. My goal is to make my lessons as enjoyable and fun for my students, so that they not only have an understanding for maths but for them to develop a love for the subject. I use a mixture of hands on materials and ICT in my teaching. I have completed my maths primary teaching training in Mary Immaculate college following the new maths curriculum released in 2023. I received an A1 in my maths teaching module.
