I've known Wade for about 7 years so far and based on that experience I would definitely recommend him as a mathematics tutor/teacher. From our previous engagements, he has proven himself confident, competent, calm, realistic, empathetic, disciplined, patient, and is quite an approachable person. Still to this day I rely on his expertise in mathematics to assist me in some of my statistic-based courses. Encompassing the above characteristics, I believe he is very driven to showing other people the joy and broad-utility of mathematics. He does this by showing how certain mathematical concepts apply to the real world or in some contexts, then breaks down how to approach a certain concept step-by-step until the learner is competent at each stage. Afterwards, he then extrapolates the concept to check for competency of the learner. In addition, he tends to add study skills whether in the form of tasks or built into the task, to allow the student to not only acquire knowledge of the concept but also the mechanisms behind how to study. So in summary, he is a teacher/tutor that explains everything whilst adding in the utility of the concept and additional study skills.
