About Rachel
I am an Archaeology and Geography graduate from the University of Nottingham, my uniquely multidisciplinary degree gave me the opportunity to study a range of subjects (Statistics, ICT, history) in great depth). I have experience teaching Maths, English, Reading and other subjects at primary level.

I aim to break down the topic into it's key components and skills and explain these in easy terms so my pupils can understand (for example measuring angles - examining a protractor, working through step-by-step how to use one, repeating this skill until mastered).
I often find linking the skill to real life examples really furthers a pupil's understanding and enables them to apply that skill better. For example - how understanding place value or fractions can help us estimate the cost of several items in a shop.
