About Anna-Theresa

I am 27 years old and currently traveling in New Zealand, where I combine my passion for teaching with my love for connecting with people from different cultural backgrounds. While I travel, I am finalizing my Master’s thesis in German as a Second Language, which allows you to benefit from up-to-date academic knowledge that I directly apply in my lessons.

As a qualified Primary School Teacher with a Bachelor of Education, you can rely on my strong pedagogical foundation and hands-on teaching experience. During my travels, I mainly work as a house sitter, which gives me the flexibility and time to fully commit to teaching German, both online and in person. You will meet me as a warm, open-minded, and caring teacher who genuinely enjoys getting to know new people.

Teaching my native language, German, is more than a job for me – it is a way to build meaningful connections and support you in gaining confidence, independence, and security in communication.

My students value my professionalism, reliability, and well-structured approach, as well as the positive and encouraging learning atmosphere I create in every lesson. I take my role as a tutor very seriously and always aim to provide you with high-quality, motivating, and effective German lessons, carefully tailored to your individual goals and needs.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is learner-centered, playful, and highly individualized. I focus closely on what each learner needs at the moment and adapt my lessons accordingly. Creating a motivating and supportive learning environment is very important to me, as I strongly believe that people learn best when they enjoy the learning process.

Speaking and communication play a central role in my lessons. Through active and meaningful conversation, learners naturally and unconsciously absorb important language patterns and structures. At the same time, I place great value on a conscious understanding of grammar, as well as on developing reading and writing skills, to ensure a well-balanced and solid language foundation.

My lessons are designed to be engaging, confidence-building, and enjoyable. All content covered during each lesson is clearly documented and shared with the learner afterward, as regular revision significantly increases learning progress.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes.

I hold a Bachelor of Education and am a qualified Primary School Teacher, specialized in German as a Second Language. I have experience teaching both children and adults online and in person.

As part of the Digi DaZ program run by the Austrian Red Cross, I provided online German tutoring to 10 children and teenagers, supporting them individually in their language development. In addition, I have taught German to adult learners in a women’s shelter, where I gained valuable teaching and intercultural experience. This work helped me develop a deep understanding of the most common challenges German language learners face, allowing me to address these difficulties in a targeted and supportive way.

My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to advanced learners, who want to feel confident and comfortable speaking German and communicate safely in everyday life, school, or professional settings, both orally and in writing.
