About Jillian
I love to teach! I've been in the primary school sector for over 20 years, as a classroom teacher, learning support teacher and school curriculum leader. I lot of the work I do now is providing professional development for teachers, however, I miss what I first got into this profession to do - that is teach children. I'm signing up to superprof to be able to do more of this:) I'd really appreciate the opportunity to use my experience to support primary school students who need that little bit extra.

With two decades of experience in schools and classrooms, I've helped hundreds of individual students reach their learning potential. I focus on using evidence based strategies and techniques, and reference the latest research in my practice and the Australian Curriculum. I can cater for primary school English & Maths, with a special interest in the teaching of reading and supporting those with reading difficulties. I pride myself in being able to create a positive working relationship with students so they feel comfortable to make mistakes and build the resilience to keep trying until they get it! Lessons are anywhere between 20 minutes and 60 minutes based on the age and needs of the student.
