About Emma

I am Ms Emma. I love teaching because I love to help people and I enjoy the fun energy within classrooms. I believe it's important to teach holistically, so I ensure that students feel safe, confident, and supported in their learning. I am a lifelong learner and I really enjoy learning online. I love to develop new skills. I love yoga, meditation, and mindfulness and I use these methods to help increase concentration, reduce stress and increase memory recall. I love to travel. I have visited over 50 countries and taught children from over 60 countries! I love to learn about the people, food, and culture of a country.

About the lesson

My online lessons are engaging, informative, and well structured. I take time to get to know my students, so I can plan lessons that meet their needs, interests, and learning styles. I create a learning environment where students can flourish. I build students' confidence through supportive and expert teaching which is fun and interactive. I am a warm and approachable teacher with great communication skills. I help students become the best learner they can be and I help them with thinking skills and studying skills. Lessons are usually 1 hour, but for younger students, I am happy to hold 30-minute sessions. I hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) from the University of Warwick. I also hold a Level 5 Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) qualification. I am also a qualified Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher. I have taught for 20 years. For the first 10 years of my career, I worked in the UK, as Head of English in a Primary School. Then for the next 10 years, I worked in top British International Schools in Asia, teaching the British Curriculum as Head of English and then as Head of Maths. The school I worked in was rated 'Outstanding' by the international OFSTED equivalent. Send me a message and we can talk about how I can help your child reach their learning goal.
