About Alexia
I am currently in my final year of a Master of Teaching (Secondary) at Australian Catholic University (ACU), specialising in Music. Prior to this, I completed a Bachelor of Music at the Australian Guild of Music Education (AGME), specialising in Composition and Pedagogy (Music Teaching).
While my main passion is music and education, I have always had a strong love for Mathematics. As a child, I was particularly drawn to Algebra. I enjoy how mathematics develops critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills that can be applied across different areas of study and in everyday life.
Alongside my university studies, I have experience tutoring Mathematics, Piano, Music Theory and Composition. I enjoy helping students build their confidence, understand challenging concepts and develop their skills at their own pace.
P.S. If you are looking for a Piano, Music Theory, Composition, English or Mathematics tutor, I would be more than happy to help! :)

Lessons can range from 1 Hour to 2 Hours depending on the students needs, exam/test schedule.
I would prefer to have 2 Maths Session in order to complete Quizzes, Tests, Looking at other textbooks, reinforcing knowledge etc.
PLUS: Fun Maths games too :)
I will use extrinsic motivations on my students in order to push them a tiny bit, using encourage phrases such as:
"This part is done correctly"
"You are on target here"
"You are doing amazing"
"I see the improvements already!"
Then identify incorrect logic and ask the student to consider what else s/he might try.
I will provide hints, but avoid explanations until after the student has attempted a guess. For example:
"When you evaluate an integral, what do you
evaluate first, the upper or lower part?"
The only condition is, is that my students either have their lessons online or at my place.

Alexia is my math tutor 2x a week for a while. She’s really organised and has showed me her old math tests from like idk year 8-9. Then she gives me a copy to do in timed conditions. She’s just really good overall.
Alexia provides ongoing support and encouragement to my son. She is always available to answer questions and provide additional assistance outside of tutoring sessions.
I like Alexa to teach my son piano because it provides a convenient and interactive learning experience. With Alexia, my son can learn at his own pace and have access to a wide range of resources and lessons. She’s a reasonable person, responsible and the prices are good too.
Alexia used to tutor my son last year, and she was a lovely teacher. She has patience, poise and is very responsible. Alexia tried her very best, when she tutored my son. She would provide numerous worksheets for various topics. When Mitch had his first session with her, she asked questions to get to know him and his passions in life and to see what he knows and does not know in a short quiz/test. In order for her to tailor their sessions together. 100% would recommend! !!
