About Milly

I am a 22-year-old tutor from the Midlands, currently living in Bath while completing my studies. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my five dogs, reading, playing the guitar, and enjoying board games with friends—interests that help me build natural, positive connections with the children I work with. While I value high-quality, professional, and effective teaching, I pride myself on having a friendly and approachable teaching style. Your child’s comfort, confidence, and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I create a calm, pressure-free learning environment where students feel supported and encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and make mistakes as part of the learning process. This approach helps ensure sessions are not only productive, but also enjoyable and confidence-boosting.

About the lesson

I am a friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic tutor who is passionate about helping children learn in a confident and enjoyable way. I pride myself on explaining concepts clearly and simply, creating a calm and unintimidating learning environment where children feel supported and motivated. I use a wide range of pedagogical approaches, carefully tailored to each child’s individual learning style. Lessons are fully pre-planned and personalised, with detailed lesson plans available for parents. These can be adapted on request to ensure lessons meet your child’s needs while aligning with the National Primary Curriculum and incorporating evidence-based teaching strategies proven to support effective learning. I am currently studying for an Undergraduate Degree in Primary Education at Bath Spa University, where I actively plan and teach lessons across a range of age groups. This means your child will be supported by a practising teacher who is up to date with current teaching methods and curriculum expectations. I work with primary-aged children from Year 1 to Year 6, covering all core and foundation subjects. I achieved A grades in all of my GCSEs (with the majority at A*), hold a Level 3 qualification in Social Sciences, and am continuing to develop my expertise through my university studies. In addition to my academic background, I have hands-on experience working in nurseries, school settings, and as a private nanny, giving me a strong understanding of children’s development both academically and socially.
