Claire is a patient and encouraging art teacher who tailors her lessons to your interests. She is very passionate about art. She’s open to teaching you the subjects or styles you enjoy painting most, and she clearly explains her techniques so you can learn at your own pace. With her wide-ranging artistic experience, Claire makes every session both inspiring and enjoyable. Hope you all enjoy her lessons!

Claire is awesome! She’s been helping me with my acrylic technique. I’ve been working with her for around 8months now and we meet once a week on Microsoft teams as I’m in Victoria. She’s helped me really see tone and colour differently than I did before. She respects my limits, like when I’m tired of mixing paints and she has taught me how to break done more complex paintings. We’ve worked on landscapes together, reflections in glass and water and recently on a portrait of my dog which is just happy. She challenges me to go further than I would in a painting and to keep looking at the source. I highly recommend her.

I’ve gone to many different art instructors, but they just never really clicked with me until I found Claire. A friend of mine showed me Claire’s art, and from there I just knew I wanted her to teach me all her skills. Not only is Claire extremely skilled at her craft she is an amazing teacher. She meets you exactly where you’re at, and with patience, encouragement and kindness she helps hone your skills. With our lessons we choose a reference picture together and paint it side-by-side. This has helped me tremendously, seeing how she approaches it and just seeing her art inspires me to keep going. And of course, the real reason why I choose to stay is because she’s such a fun person to be with. These lessons don’t really feel like lessons, it feels like I’m just painting with a friend. I’m a busy student, but I always look forward to meeting Claire - it’s my way of de-stressing after a long week. 10/10 would recommend her
