About Yannick

I studied Latin Jazz between 2011 and 2013 at Codarts University (World Music Academy) in Rotterdam. Between 2013 and 2017 I studied "Jazz Bass" at the Lisbon Conservatory and graduated there. Since the end of 2018 I am back in Berlin and work since then as a freelance musician and music teacher. Between Lisbon, Paris and Berlin, I have worked with a variety of musicians in recent years. About the lesson

No matter if you are a beginner or an advanced learner, we will take a close look at your interests and experiences in the test lesson and work together to develop corresponding goals for our lessons. The lessons can take place both with me and at your home. In general, a healthy mix of necessary theoretical understanding and practically oriented "fun of playing" is at the forefront. Our focus is clearly playing the instrument. This is done both through the common "practice", as well as through the interaction with "backing tracks" or me as a teacher. Due to my personal career as a musician, the focus in the classroom is on the following genres: jazz, funk, soul, latin, hip hop / rnb, pop, african music and oriental music.
