About Connor
My teaching experience is only a year long. I've taught 3 students, their ages ranging from 10 to 21 to 43. Due to my new beginnings in teaching, I encourage those who have little to no musical experience. I can help you better your craft, and you can help me better mine. I am a patient and attentive teacher, but am also stern about practice. If a student does not rehearse on their own time, it makes lessons more difficult because we won't be able to move onto further knowledge.

My name is Connor, I've been learning and playing guitar since 2009. I began my studies with private lessons from local rock/jazz guitarist Joe Wagner. His method of teaching catered to the songs and type of genres his students wanted to know. Since I was passionate about Led Zeppelin, he taught me "Heartbreaker" my first lesson.
I intend to incorporate my student's musical interests to facilitate further intrigue into the sometimes dull mathematical and theoretical aspects behind the craft. However, since I'm offering beginner/intermediate lessons, some students don't know what they want to learn yet. I will utilize the genres I know such as blues, classic rock, old and contemporary pop. Hopefully, there may be some interest crossover in those regards.
Most of my experience lies in performing. I've belonged to several bands such as Pansy and Cowboy Bohemian, and I've sat-in with other local acts such as Modzilla, Displaced Peoples, and IV Stone. My teachings can also offer students tutoring in live performance technique, equipment set up, and how to self-promote.
If there's anything I've learned in my guitar experience, the most important lesson is that a guitarist never stops being the student of their guitar. Whether you've been playing for 5 or 25 years, there is always more to learn. This motivates me to help new, aspiring guitar players on their musical path.
