About Brandon

I am a Houston-based DJ and entertainment company owner with over 5 years of experience in the music industry and 11 years in nightlife/hospitality industries. I currently hold a monthly residency at one of Houston’s top lounges and have performed at private events, hospitality venues, nightlife settings, and several weddings throughout the city.

In addition to my work in Houston, I spent time in Ibiza last summer, where I completed a DJ and music production program and had the opportunity to perform at two Ibiza venues. My background also includes experience as a nightclub manager, giving me a well-rounded understanding of both the performance and business sides of the entertainment industry.

I am especially passionate about house, techno, and electronic music, and I enjoy sharing that passion with students who want to explore those genres. At the same time, DJ fundamentals apply across many styles of music, and we can practice and learn using the genres you enjoy most, including pop, hip hop, reggaeton, Latin music, and more.

My lessons are focused on practical, real-world DJ skills. Rather than overwhelming beginners with technical jargon, I explain the equipment clearly and give you time to practice each step yourself. The goal is for you to understand what you are doing, build confidence behind the decks, and leave each lesson with a clear plan for continued improvement.

I am especially well suited for students who are curious about DJing but are not ready to invest in equipment before trying it firsthand. Whether your goal is to learn a new hobby, DJ at private events or weddings, or eventually perform in clubs, I can help you build a strong foundation from the ground up.

About the lesson

You will learn:
• How a DJ controller works
• Beatmatching and tempo control
• Cueing songs in headphones
• Basic EQ control
• Smooth transitions
• Track selection and set flow
• How to practice effectively
• What equipment to consider buying

The complimentary first lesson is a 30-minute online beginner orientation covering your goals, DJ equipment basics, BPM, phrasing, and beatmatching.

Hands-on private lessons are available afterward at your home or another approved Houston-area location. I bring the decks and essential equipment, so no equipment is required. In-person lessons are $80 per hour with a 2-hour minimum.

Available options:
• 2-hour introductory lesson — $160
• 4-hour extended beginner lesson — $295 ($73.75/hr)
• Discounted recurring plans for students who want consistent progress

Travel outside my standard service area may require an additional fee.
