About Carolina
Hi!
My name is Carolina, I'm 29 years old and I'm an English teacher.
I have a degree in production engineering and I worked in the area for six years. I worked for a multinational company and needed to communicate in English every day. I've always been passionate about learning and teaching languages (I worked as a private tutor in parallel), so I decided to leave the corporate world and dedicate myself 100% to teaching English.
I've been studying English since I was 12 years old and I have a TOEFL proficiency certificate. During my undergraduate period, I had the opportunity to live for a year and a half in Canada, where I studied Management Engineering. I am a person who loves traveling, and getting to know new countries and different cultures. In addition to boosting your professional career, fluency in English provides incredible personal experiences, and I believe that everyone can and should have these opportunities!

Hello,
First of all, thank you for your interest in my work!
We know that learning a new language is not always easy and fast. The process can often be frustrating and we end up quitting along the way. However, I believe that learning can be lighter and more pleasant when the student is guided in the right direction. As a teacher, my goal is to make this journey easier by providing productive and enjoyable lessons. After all, the more the student identifies and enjoys the classes, the more consistency he has and, consequently, the better he learns!
Below some information about my classes:
- The goal is to develop the language in all the 4 areas (Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking) in parallel.
- Cambridge University books, including all audio and video features. All material is provided at zero cost to the student during classes.
- I really like to include activities related to movies, series and music according to the student interests.
- Duration of the class: 1 hour
- Flexible timetable, including weekends.
- Online classes via Zoom, Meet, Teams or Skype. I understand that there is still some hesitation in taking online classes. Initially, I also had doubts about possible limitations, but after I started teaching online (and taking classes as well!) I found it to be a very positive experience. The quality of the classes are not decreased and it allows you to learn wherever and whenever it is better!
- Additional support by email or whatsapp.
- Individual classes or for groups up to 3 students. Thus, it is possible to adjust the pace of the classes to better meet the specific needs of each student, something that does not happen in large classrooms!
- I do not work with specific preparation for proficiency tests (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge and others).
