About Sogand

I started teaching English in 2019 because my daily life revolves entirely around English: I use it to study, work, and communicate, every day. I learned it as a second language, and then graduated with a degree in Biotechnology in English, so I know what it means to feel stuck and how to overcome that barrier. Teaching also helps me stay current: a language is never definitive, it's constantly evolving, and I, the first to do so, must continue studying and staying up to date. Above all, I love seeing my students improve: their smile when they realize they can speak is what motivates me every day. Have you tried learning English but got tired halfway? I can help! About the lesson

My method is based on immersion: in class, we speak English from the very first lesson, even with beginners, using gestures, images, and concrete examples instead of translation. I prioritize pronunciation, listening, and the ability to respond spontaneously, because grammar becomes natural when you use the language, not just when you study. Having learned English as a second language, I can explain the rules simply and anticipate typical errors of Italian speakers (false friends, prepositions, pronunciation). "Symptom Lesson Structure" * Short initial conversation to warm up and review the previous lesson * New topic (vocabulary, structure, or communicative function) presented in context * Active practice: dialogues, role-playing, listening and production exercises * Gentle correction of recurring errors * Final summary and, if needed, a short homework assignment "Specific Teaching Methods" * Children (2-13 years): short, dynamic, and age-appropriate lessons, with games, songs, and stories, because at this age, learning is fun * Adults: curriculum tailored to your goals (work, travel, interviews, study)
