About Deborah

I have been teaching for 10 years off and on and thoroughly enjoy meeting new students and teaching German to people from all over the world. I used to be a hotel manager in various hotels, however, left the hotel industry when I had children. I have worked at the Berlitz Language and Learning Center, in Doha, Qatar and as a Kindergarten teacher in Australia. I have been running online classes for a year. I am well-traveled, I have lived in 8 different countries, from East Africa to Switzerland to Germany and Australia. I loved traveling (pre and post-pandemic) and meeting new people whilst learning new cultures.

About the lesson

I teach German to children and adults from Levels A1 to B2. Class length and frequency can be chosen by the student depending on availability and requirements. My lessons consist of printed exercises, links to online exercises, suggestions of simple German movies to watch, and games to help you practice. It's important to remember that "Übung macht den Meister", Practice makes perfect. I will help you get started, but I need you to practice a bit at home to get the most out of my lessons.

Eilish is a very polite and smart young girl, who after one lesson was able to quickly learn the proper pronunciation and able to form simple sentences. I look forward to teaching her next week.
