About Early
I began my harp journey four years ago with a classical mentor, and have since developed an appreciation for the balance between technique and creativity. The study of music can be both disciplined and deeply personal. A strong musical foundation does not need to come at the expense of passion.
I specialize in early modern “medieval” music, music from the European Renaissance, religious music, and Celtic folk music.

My approach is centered on creating a serene and thoughtful environment for adults who have a curiosity and desire to connect to their innate creativity through the harp. Music lessons do not have to be a looming or stressful ordeal. While the fundamental elements of music—technique, notation, rhythm, and theory—are an important part of learning, they are tools for musical expression rather than ends in themselves. I focus on integrating these formal elements into lessons without making them feel daunting– so that each student may embrace the beauty of learning this ancient instrument!
