About Sera
I'm Sera. I graduated from Kadıköy Anatolian High School. I graduated from Istanbul University State Conservatory, Pantomime Department. I am a student of MSGSÜ Istanbul State Conservatory Contemporary Dance Department. I have been playing the piano for 17 years and I have successfully passed the ABRSM Royal Academy level 2, 4 and 5 exams of piano and theory exams.

I keep my lessons with children intertwined with activities such as games, singing and painting in order to keep the motivation of the children high and not to get bored with the piano. My main motivation for first-time children is to love the piano and music in the long term. After the first lesson, I determine a piano method book that I decide to progress according to the student, and we proceed from there at the same time. I aim to keep the student from being detached from the piano during the week, with both painting, writing and playing work, outside of the lesson, and I also suggest that they listen to other works every week. I care not only to play, but also to teach the composers of the works that are played, and historical information on the piano to keep the student's curiosity alive and to learn in a holistic way. I build my lessons with children on classical western music, but in time, it can stretch at the student's request. We decide my lessons with adults somewhat according to the genre one wants to study, if there are certain works that they want to play or if there is a certain genre, we focus on them. Otherwise, we are proceeding through certain books on classical western music. Optionally, I can also give music theory information in the lessons.

Perfect! Ilk defa bir enstrüman çalmaya calisan ve hicbir fikri olmayan biri olarak ders aldim, kesinlikle çok iyi bir ögretici. Dersi almadan önce cekincelerim vardi ama sera ile calistikca yersiz oldugunu anliyorsunuz, hem eglenceli, kaliteli zaman geciriyorsunuz hem de ilerleme kaydettiginizi hissediyorsunuz. Uzun süreler birlikte calisacagimizi düsünüyorum ve benim gibi “acaba”si olan herkese sera hoca ile calismasini tavsiye ediyorum

Ben Sera hocanın uzun süreli öğrencilerinden biriyim. Aynı zamanda kendisi çocuk yaştaki kuzenime de uzun süredir ders veriyor. Ve gerçekten kendisi hayatımda karşılaştığım en saygılı, iletişim kurmakta hiç zorlanmayan, öğrencinin ihtiyacını gözetmekte hiç zorluk çekmeyen hocalardan biri. Bunun yanında müzikal yeteneği zaten derslerde kendisini kanıtlayan bir gerçek. İyi ki hocamız olmuşsunuz, iyi ki karşılaşmışız. Kendime güvenmediğim ve yapamadığını düşündüğüm noktada bana moral verdiğiniz için de size çok borçluyum. Herkese tavsiye ediyorum.

Küçük çocuklarla arası çok iyi, yeğenime ders aldırmaya başladık daha önce başka dersler de almıştı ama 7 yaşında ve hemen sıkılıyor devam etmek istemiyordu, şimdi biraz daha hevesli gibi piano öğrenmeye. Sera hocamıza borçluyuz bu hevesi, teşekkürler hocam.
