About Emmah

I'm a private Swahili language tutor with 3 years of experience teaching both kids above age 6 to adults willing to learn Swahili. As a native Swahili speaker, I'm able to teach the best out of my knowledge and share the ideas, culture, and norms of the language. I teach from the very basics of Swahili, you will learn how to introduce yourself using formal and informal language. I make my sessions interactive with the students and that gives the student a chance to ask any questions making the lesson interesting.

About the lesson

I teach online classes and am also flexible to teach in-person to students within Nairobi. I offer basic Swahili so if you are a beginner, you are with the right tutor, and as a native Swahili speaker it's my passion to teach our language to travelers with the advantage of knowing more about our country and cultures. I'm very patient and thus give you the credit as a student to learn at your own pace. Classes are for beginners to advanced levels. I will also teach you the street language as an addition so that you can interact with anyone in the streets of Nairobi.

Perfect! Emmah begins with first getting to know you. After which she helps you learn basic greetings and phrases and will allow you to practice with her and in between each lesson. Very well done and friendly!
