I tend to be easy-going with my students for the most part. While I'm very serious about the study of Philosophy, I don't believe it needs to be doom and gloom all the time.
I maintain professionalism, while still creating a relationship with my students. I owe most of what I claim to know to past teachers, and I hope to do the same for my students as well.

I do not focus on rote learning or memorization at all, my focus entirely is to make sure that the student has a full grasp of the concept they are reading about.
It is a guarantee that the individual's philosophical writing and reading ability will improve drastically as well.
My teaching style is closer to having a guide in your philosophical inquiries, rather than someone imposing what they believe to be correct, which in itself is a flawed way of thinking about and understanding philosophy.
I also always encourage students to use primary texts rather than secondary tests.
