About Teresa
I began playing the violin at the age of four using the Suzuki method. Over the years, I studied with various teachers in Germany, participated in national competitions, attended masterclasses, and was accepted as a youth student at the university level. While I have always loved performing as a soloist, I discovered early on that I also enjoy teaching—in much the same way I was taught. After graduating, I decided not to pursue a full-time professional music career and instead became a doctor. However, I’ve continued to teach and perform regularly, playing in orchestras alongside my work as an anesthetist in a hospital. Working with children and young adults brings me great joy. I tailor every lesson to each student’s individual needs—whether they want to improve technique, prepare for an audition or concert, or simply learn their favorite piece and enjoy making music. Helping students grow and deepen their connection to music is something I truly value.

Every student learns differently, and my teaching is guided by the belief that lessons should adapt to the person, not the other way around. Whether you’re picking up the violin for the first time or returning to refine your playing, I shape each lesson to match your learning style, goals, and pace.
My own musical journey began at age four with the Suzuki Method, and its values still shape my approach today: learning through encouragement, listening, and creating a positive environment where progress feels natural and enjoyable.
While technique is essential, it’s just as important that students feel inspired and connected to the music they play. I place strong emphasis on building a solid technical foundation—covering posture, bowing, tone production, left-hand ease, and coordination—always through thoughtful, engaging steps. We work with pieces and exercises that are suited to your level and interests, encouraging consistent growth without pressure.
What matters most is that each student feels supported, motivated, and free to express themselves. My role is to provide the tools, structure, and encouragement you need to grow—while always keeping the joy of playing at the heart of the process.
