About Nick

I am a Software/DevOps Engineer working in Minneapolis, MN. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Computer Science. I'm an outgoing, enthusiastic lover of technology. I put in the extra work to propel applications from good to great. I hate lazy behaviors, especially in code, and strive to produce maintainable, flexible, and beautiful code.

About the lesson

I love to teach. I adjust to the audience and can teach anyone at any age or skill level. I break down concepts into simple definitions. I like to learn who students are and create examples that excite and engage them.

Perfect! I reached out to Nick to help out with an assignment i had in the coding bootcamp i'm in. Nick had an obvious proficiency with Javascript. He helped guide me in thinking for myself, and stopped along the way to ensure I was understanding concepts. He's deeply knowledgeable, but also patient and meets you where you are. I highly recommend Nick for a tutor, and I plan on working with Nick more consistently.

Perfect! Nick was an excellent tutor. As someone who had no idea was SQL was 5 days prior, we were able to clear up some advanced concepts. I love that he makes you work for the answer and doesn't just tell you. He makes difficult concepts easy to understand. Highly recommend!

Nick also does not just give you the answer, he makes you work for it and think about the solution. This is the best way to learn in my opinion. It's the little things that often cause the most problems! Try talking yourself through the solution and see if anything new reveals itself.
