About PARABEL
I'm Pablo, originally from Tandil in Argentina and now based in Byron Bay. I trained as a musician in La Plata and Buenos Aires, and I've been releasing my own music for years under the name PARABEL: records, live sets and production work for other artists, made between Buenos Aires, Copenhagen and Australia.
I started producing for the same reason most people do, because I wanted to hear an idea that nobody else was going to record for me. Everything I teach here I learned by making my own records and then having to play them on a stage, which is a different school from learning it for clients.
I teach because I like the moment when someone stops fighting the software and starts hearing what they actually meant. That usually happens earlier than people expect.
I'm patient, I don't rush anyone, and I'll tell you straight what's working and what isn't.

I'm Pablo, a producer and musician with 12 years of teaching experience. I write, record and produce my own music, and these lessons come out of that work rather than out of a manual.
Lessons run 60 minutes and we work inside your own session. Bring a loop, a demo or a voice memo. If you have nothing yet, we start something from scratch in the first lesson.
We cover the whole path from an idea to a finished piece. Getting a loop to stop being a loop: arrangement, tension and release, how a track earns its chorus. Recording real instruments into Ableton and making them sit with programmed parts. The harmony and the groove behind the styles I come from, which are rock, funk, soul and jazz, and how to get those changes and that feel into a session without it sounding stiff.
Then the live side. Building a Session View you can actually perform: scenes, clip launching, controller mapping, and deciding what you play by hand and what runs on its own. I play live myself, so this part comes from the stage rather than from tutorials.
I work with complete beginners on Ableton, songwriters who want to produce their own material, and players who record well but never learned to arrange. You don't need to read music.
Every lesson ends with one thing to do before the next one, and the next one starts by listening to how it went.
