About Francesco
Hello! I'm Francesco, aka Dr. Wesh. I am a full time professional producer, have two gold records and have produced and mixed tracks for over 50 million streams. I work purely for Urban (rap, trap, hip-hop) and Pop works, and I specialize in those genres. My works are often in Spotify's industry editorial playlists, many of my productions have been released for Universal Music and Sony Music. The producer is a well-rounded profession and is not just about creating the base, but also giving an identity to the project that follows, directing the artist, choosing the right microphones and the necessary tools and setting the rules of the game yourself. . The lesson I always try to do is a real session. The relationship between producer and artist is like with psychologist and patient, so it is important to understand the idea that the client / artist has in mind and develop it. This is producing for me. The session can take place online or in the recording studio (I have several affiliated studios to work with). I am of the opinion that music theory is easily learned in books or online (always distinguishing serious lecture notes from random videos!), While what makes the difference in my teaching is to do it in the field. Based on the producer's need, I can clarify the important concepts of theory, explain the functioning of the programs, record the voices, editing and pitch correction, basic illustration of the machines and plugins, teach tricks and effects for the sound you are looking for, propose exercises and supplementary handouts, teaching the correct setting for mixing and mastering, how to network in the recording world and how to try, once you become good, to enter the industry.
