About Shea
Like many actors, I took an acting class and fell in love with the art about ten years ago! I took every class they offered at my local community college from Children’s Theater to Improv and I found myself enjoying improv and sketch comedy so much I produced multiple shows in the Seattle area. I decided to take more formal training at iO Theater in Chicago where many SNL actors got their start! Unfortunately, I got very sick and had to take a step back from acting but finished my bachelor's in psychology and English, with a minor in communication which has considerably aided me in breaking down characters through a psychological lens. Since then, I've obtained an acting agent in Portland and written award-winning screenplays in multiple film festivals, most recently nominated for Best Unproduced Script for the Toronto International Women’s Film Festival!

Hello! My name is Shea and I am a professional actor and writer working out of Seattle and Portland and soon to be Los Angeles! I have a degree in social sciences from Washington State University majoring in psychology and English with a minor in communications.
My education allows me to take a psychological approach to character motivation and script analysis. I’m here to help you gain skills in acting and/or writing whether you're a beginner or looking to refresh your skills regardless of age; I can tailor a class for you!
I’ve taken every acting/screenwriting class provided at Shoreline Community College including Theater Acting I, II, & III, Acting for the Camera I & II, Acting/Writing/Directing I & II, Children’s Theater, Improv and more. I also have Improv training from Chicago’s iO Theater where SNL stars like Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, and Chris Farley got their start. I’ve produced multiple improv shows in the Seattle area and I have written pilots, short films, sketches, short plays with a recent pilot nominated for best unproduced script by the Toronto International Women’s Film Festival!
Like I mentioned, I take a psychological approach to character motivation, even wacky comedic characters have logical dialogue and behaviors. I take the same approach to the breakdown of scripts so you can bring a believable portrayal of characters on screen or the stage. I can also provide advice for headshots, resume building, and online auditioning.
I have a significant passion for this type of storytelling where I believe this art form provides our society with valuable lessons in a digestible form and necessary breaks from the hardships of life. I also like to touch on the long haul mindset of being an artist and navigating the challenges of constant rejection in this industry. Not getting the audition does not mean you’re a bad actor! Success comes in many forms but enjoying the journey is one of the most important things you can do to keep yourself motivated. Let me help you get there!
