About Niladri

I’m a passionate live bassist and session musician, deeply rooted in the energy of performance and the art of collaboration. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of performing with a wide range of bands and artists, across various genres — from funk, rock, and jazz to soul, pop, fusion, and experimental. These experiences on stage and in studio have shaped not only my technique, but my entire musical philosophy. Whether it’s a high-energy gig in front of thousands or an intimate studio session crafting subtle textures — I’ve learned that the role of the bass is never just to play notes. It’s about holding space, connecting people, and building the groove that makes music breathe. From local circuits to major shows, from spontaneous jams to tight arrangements, my musical path has been defined by adaptability, deep listening, and emotional connection. Working with different vocalists, drummers, and producers has taught me the importance of understanding the pulse of a song — not just rhythmically, but spiritually. Music, for me, is not just performance — it’s conversation, presence, and shared feeling. And all these experiences I’ve gathered on stage and in the studio are now a part of what I bring into my teaching.
