About Ari
While the majority of my students thus far have been teenagers, I am also more than willing to provide cello lessons for children and young adults, at a beginner's, elementary, or advanced level. I have a lot of insights, as well as plenty of energy and passion, but most importantly, I am 100% dedicated to helping you achieve the musical success you dream of, and I will always make it a priority to engage with you in a friendly, patient, supportive, and humorous way. I will be more than happy to meet at a location of your preference, and I will be as flexible as possible in scheduling sessions at a time that is most convenient for you. I am a cellist based in the San Francisco Bay Area who has played in a number of youth and regional orchestras over the years, and who received a Bachelor's in Cello Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2014. I teach the basics of playing posture (bow hold/placement, fingerings), exercises (scales, arpeggios), orchestral excerpts, and full-scale pieces. I am willing to teach children, teenagers, and adults alike, whether it's in preparation for an audition, a competition, a rehearsal, a performance, or simply for pleasure. I always make it a priority to engage with the student in a friendly and supportive way, and to help spark their desire to play at their best.
