I start with analyzing past games of my students and understanding their strengths and weaknesses. I believe in training and paying equal attention to all sections of the game - opening, middlegame, and endgame. I make tailored training plans for my students and provide daily and weekly homework and targets.

Saptorshi is a fantastic chess teacher. As an adult student, I have really valued the balance he strikes of being supportive and encouraging, yet also being direct and frank about my level. He is very easy to understand and his teaching approach/methods make sense - and work! In the year that he's been my teacher, I found the confidence to compete in two tournaments, and definitely will do more. He is also just a very good chess player.
