About Julian
I have a degree and masters degree in civil engineering. At work I have helped coach and mentor apprentices and graduates along with tutoring them for college level maths and engineering. Outside of work I have coached outdoor sports including kayaking and canoeing.

I coach by applying the maths to practical situations, hobbies or something the student is interested in. By finding something like football or gaming that a student is interested in I show how maths is used and applied. I feel getting the basics right and building on them is important, with large class sizes students can often miss things that will then impact thier understanding of the subject.
