I try to adapt all session to individual students. For individuals, I often cover their school material first, but can provide additional practice for any subject offered. For both groups and individuals, I give a brief overview and then dive into practice problems. I try to have students explain how to complete a problem to me to ensure his/her understanding.
I am a licensed professional civil engineer and the acting counselor for NDSU Society of Women Engineers. I have experience tutoring both in person and online in subjects from chemistry and algebra to dynamics and PE test preparation. I also provide guidance for students in their job search and budgeting/lifestyle coaching. During my free time, I enjoy gardening, traveling and DIY projects.
I charge $40/hr that can be paid via cash, check, venmo, or paypal due the day of the session. If homework or review problems are sent ahead of time, I will be better able to prepare for each session and can provide more practice if requested at no additional charge. I do charge an hour of time for no-shows and require 24-hours notice for cancellations to avoid a $10 cancellation fee.

Varsity Tutors (8/16-Present)
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University in 2012. Since graduating, I have tutored various subjects with Varsity Tutors (online platform) and have tutored both in person and online for learners ranging from elementary age to adults working towards a Masters degree.
I serve as the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) NDSU section Counselor, a position I volunteered for in 2014, providing a link between college engineering students and the professional world. Other volunteer work includes teaching sessions at Expanding Your Horizons. This is an event to introduce middle school girls to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields.
In my free time I enjoy home improvement projects and have recently completely remodeled my kitchen, crafts (soap making, crocheting, etc.), gardening, and taking online courses to keep my brain sharp. My husband and I are also avid travelers and have been out of the country 2 times in the last year.
